In fifty yearns Wilhelm Wagenfeld, born in Bremen in 1900,
has been designing an unbelievable number of objects: some
of them have become part of every day's life all over the
world, such as the salt and pepper holders "Max e Moritz",
or the ink bottle from the bended neck. These are Wagenfeld
favourite's. Wagenfeld cooperated with Württenbergische Metallwarefabrik
at Geslingen and in 1954 he opened a research laboratory for
the development of industrial design project. Wagenfeld has
been working with glass (plates, vases, lamps and glasses),
with metal (table items all kinds, candelisticks and doorhandles).
His work has beel recognized with various prizes. He has expressed
his philosophy of design through articles and books.
